Model project – Showing what VR trainings can and cannot do
Virtual trainings are currently very popular use cases of our customers, therefore with Assembly VR we have developed a showcase, which gives a good overview of functions, possibilities and limitations of this genre. For this purpose we have designed a comprehensible scenario, which bundles various tools and requirements from customer projects and gives an insight into our know-how. Due to confidentiality agreements, similarly located customer projects unfortunately be shown publicly.
Multiplayer and multilingual
The Assembly VR serves as a blueprint for an accessible, easy-to-understand and quickly implementable training. Here, the focus was on the multiplayer function in addition to easy customization and expansion of the content.
The application can be used alone, but also by one trainer and up to 5 trainees at the same time. Communication takes place via voice chat with real-time translation. For this purpose, we use servers hosted in Germany and enable location-independent training, which only requires an Internet connection and the appropriate hardware.
Hardware as a limiting factor
As with all projects, we emphasize a high-quality visual style for this demo training. To stay close to realistic use cases, the application is optimized for the limited performance of standalone VR headsets, which are preferred for training. Thus, we open the application to low-cost devices and make our trainings experienceable for a wide audience. Nevertheless, our application is equally convincing on PC-bound VR headsets with higher performance. This is due to a well-balanced mix of appealing design and level of detail without demanding too much computing power.
Efficiency and scalability
Assembly VR serves as a template for understandable and quickly implementable training. By optimizing and expanding our in-house visual training editor, we can make future client projects even more efficient and develop easily scalable content.
